ever since i saw the advertisement on Hong Kong Cafe – Steamboat…
i have been thinking about STEAMBOATSSS~~~

so… on friday… i drove hubby to kallang oasis for it..
the waitress was pretty agressive .. we walked past the restaurant..
and she was pushing the menu… asking us to go in to have a look.. etc
hubby was smoking.. and we asked her to wait…. but she wun stop~

once inside the restaurant… hubby went to the toilet…
and the lady passed me the menu for the steamboat….
and also the menu for the rest of their ala carte dishes…
i nearly fainted when i saw the steamboat menu….

every dish had a price tag! eg, sliced pork = $8, lettuce = $4
i am so USED to a single price tag for steamboat buffet…
marina south.. $12 bucks for BBQ steamboat~~ so cheap…
and chong qing buffet @ suntec… i think about $28++ per person~
seeing such prices made me flip!! but since we are already there….
i decided to just give it a try lor……

we placed order for liver, pork, chicken, lettuce, pig stomach..
also had live drunken prawns, NZ premium lamb…
the soup was free as they issued a coupon on the spot for free soup…
*** THEN WAT’S THE POINT OF PUTTING IT IN THE MENU?***

the portion for the food is pretty ok….. oh ya, 8 live prawns = $19…
hmmm.. ANYWAY… we had our meal….. but, not very full lor…
so we ordered XO carrot cake as side dish… tried it b4… it’s good…
BUT!!! the standard DIFFERENT from east coast lor! not as nice ….

total bill add up to $80+++ for 2 person having steamboat….
it’ll be the FIRST and the LAST TIME i’m eating there lor..

not because the food ain’t good… THE FOOD IS GOOD!!!
but… me and hubby enjoy eating… and we eat a lot…
we LOVE steamboat… and not having free flow of food…. is so NOT US!

anyway, we were there on FRIDAY NIGHT…only 2 tables were occupied…
at 10pm, we were the only one left.. business very cham~

NYDC

after dining at kallang…. we headed down to orchard swensens….
celebrating mar’s birthday…. SO MANY PPLE WERE QUEUING!
we joined the queue anyway.. and halfway thru, it rained….

everyone in queue was asked to queue up near to HSBC….
and obviously, everyone started taking the chance to JUMP QUEUE..
we were pretty pissed…. and headed to NYDC instead….

i didn’t take much photos… too dark and my phone shutter speed not gd..
that’s marvin, who just touched down from…. brunei i think? haha…
very on~~ still can drive down to meet us….. (see pic below)

esther ordered “BOO BOO” cake for mar… it was DELICIOUS…..
but i guess it’s more for hardcore chocolate lovers!!! VERY SINFUL!

yeah… we went on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON….
hubby drove me and Ju over…. denise drove herself…

the furthest we went.. is only up till the man in red beside the truck…
CAN U SEE THE GODDAMN QUEUE?????????

AND THEY WERE JUST QUEUING UP TO GO IN!!

so wat if it’s 50%? zzzzzzzz……. we decided to pay full price…
for a QUEUE – LESS shopping experience………

kiddy ride~

yep, this ride is now at suntec city level 3…
can bring your kids to try it out! but i still prefer paragon..
the space at suntec city very limited… can’t go far …
plus… there’s a risk of knocking people down!!

was there over the weekend…. sunday.. to buy shoes for my baby..
didn’t want him pulling his socks away each time he has the chance to..

lost!

yes i know, i’ve been missing for weeks now…
first, hubby fell sick.. he was on almost 1 week MC…
then last sunday.. it was my turn to fall sick…
fever was there for about 3 days.. reaching about 39.5 degrees..
IT WAS HELL…. I lost 2 kgs because of that… *sigh*

i will backdate my blog entries… there are still some photos taken..
entries like eric’s birthday, hubby’s birthday, mind’s cafe, mother’s day lunch..

in the meantime, here are some photos i took of little jayson..
brought him out to buy shoes yesterday… then took him to SICC for dinner..
these shoes are from osh kosh.. $45 bucks..

hubby’s birthday~

hubby’s birthday fell on a thursday….
but everyone got home early to have dinner together…

we had dinner @ asia hotel…. heard the hotel already ceased operations..
the restaurant will be moving away soon…. didn’t take much photos..
i just recovered from my 1 wk fever+flu+cough+everything u can think of..
and i never bring my camera… all these photos are from hubby’s phone..

hubby’s dad bought a cake for him.. FULL CHOCOLATE…
it was more like my favourite than his.. wahahaha… but it was delicious~

my wonderful in laws took baby home.. and i brought hubby for round 2 bd..
reached mr beans at about 930pm…. meeting up with our buddies there…
supposed to be just a coffee session.. but andrew… kuku called me during dinner..
and asked if he can just get a coffee flavoured cake…… HAHAHA

we were having dinner in a private room lor.. and everyone heard it..
including hubby! so.. the surprise turned into a not so surprise thing.. haha

they actually drew a tortoise on his birthday card.. wahahaha

the whole bunch of us! i didn’t take much pic coz i still look pale…

dinner @ crystal jade..

had dinner with hubby & his parents on labour day….
we were at crystal jade @ paragon.. the place open for dinner at 6pm..
i like the atmosphere there… quite classy and quiet..
and it serves my favourite chinese food! hahaha….

the bill added up to almost $400 that day….
just because of a slice of abalone we added to the soup… zzz..
and also due to the fish… but the food there is good…

yummy~~ anyway, someone asked if my tattoo is sticked on… ARGH!

that’s his foot…. he has this very bad habit of lifting his leg onto the table..

even when he’s in his stroller…

we shopped ard after that… and i got a gift from hubby~
it comes in black, red and caramel colour… burberry’s sling bag
i adore the red one… but find it difficult to match outfits…
wanted to settle for BOTH…. but find it’s a waste to have 2 of same design..

there’s a white leather bag which i loveeeeee…. but it’s like 2k~
dun wan to get killed for the price tag.. hahaha

minds cafe ~

first time at minds cafe….. i kind of forgot which day it was already..
first impression of that place…. NOISY AND LIKE MARKET…
a lot of rowdy people ard.. playing game so loud like it’s their own home..

luckily we managed to get a place away from the rowdy crowd..
me and hubby stayed for only about 2 hours.. both of us not feeling well!
flu virus was spreading within our own group of friends.. hahaha

weihao…. PUNISHMENT for not taking the bone in time~

my OH SO SWEET and not nice brownie… ju puked it out.. haha

the place is pretty fun… but i feel the way they charge is funny..
gaming by hour and inclusive of mealtime…
it’ll be good if they have a bigger space… and better to go on nonpeak hrs..

lunch buffet @ roxy

celebrated mother’s day 2 weeks in advanced…
hubby wasn’t feeling well that day….

my sisters & i all agreed on buffet lunch, since my mum LOVES buffet..
so we headed to roxy square for their buffet…
their standard dropped… the food variety not as much as before..
and the price went up~ i still prefer sakura with their wide range of food..

probably head there one of these days with my mummy..

this is jayson… in his car seat…
i only started letting him sit in his own seat when he’s abt 1 yr+..
before that, he’s normally on my lap…. luckily he’s ok with it..

just need to play some music he like.. and he can stay quiet throughout
i feel this carseat is getting a bit too small for him.. :(
supposed to be able to last up to a few yrs old lei..

my son’s uncle came over to visit…
imagine his ‘uncle’ is only about 2-3 wks older.. haha
a pretty big difference in size… i guess jayson is bigger built and taller…
after all, when he was 54cm in length when i gave birth to him…

it was actually his first time playing his someone ard his own age…
was pretty happy with his ‘response’.. coz he seemed very happy..
and shared his toys with his new friend~ even smiled a lot.. haha

relax nails..

drove out for my mani & pedi yesterday…
trying to finish up the package i took more than a yr ago..
still have 1 pedi and 3 mani to go…
ya i noe i very very the slow.. but i simply NO TIME lor….

while in the store, i noticed this lady…..
walking pass the store with her pram.. probably more than 5 times…
she kept looking at the price list & such pasted at the door..

next thing i know, she came in, and she wanted a pedicure….
*OMG lor* well… i told my manicurist.. “just hope the baby doesn’t cry..”

the first 15 mins was heaven… baby behaving… mummy happy…
then the horror begans.. baby started SCREAMING.. wa lao.. (6 mths old baby)
i was already dozing off to sleep… and the screaming woke me up IMMEDIATELY..
&*^(^(&#$!!#&&(*~~

she tried to force a bottle of milk to keep the baby quiet.. but can’t work..
then she had to give up her pedicure… and paid for it…
thankfully the lady boss was around, and ask her to come back in a while..

so she went off and tried to pacify her baby to sleep.. and she succeeded..
she came back.. and finished off her pedicure with a smile pasted on her face..

i am not being UNSYMPATHETIC.. but if u really wan a mani or pedi..
get someone you trust to help you with the baby for 1 or 2 hrs…
it will bring less pain to urself.. and to others around you…

especially me… being a stay at home de lao bu, getting away is like HEAVEN..
and going for mani and pedi to steal a wink…. ku ku ji bai nia!!
and to think i have to listen to a wailing baby while i’m supposed to be enjoying?
knn lor…

anyway… i very hiao… ask the lady to add nail art to my big toe…
the last time i had ‘art’ on my nails was… my wedding day lor.. hahaha

speaking of my wedding… i sent my ring for alterations few weeks back..
only got it back yesterday… added in 2 more small diamonds…
which came from my earrings… i love big earrings too much… so…
i decided to give up my diamond earrings… hahahaha.. the effect not bad le~
but the worksmanship is knn de expensive~ heng not i pay coz got voucher!

also got my guan yin pendant done… this is a present from my mum in law..
the design is drawn by her… swee bo? i love it lots… haha

bought this plant 2 years ago during CNY.. supposed to be a money plant too..
this is the 2nd flower i’ve seen so far… i never knew  it will have flower anyway..

he loves watching the cars & buses…
and not forgetting the biscuit in his hand…

very long never go sizzler liao le… the food still ok lar…
when one is hungry,  si mi sai also can eat lar.. hahaha

eat eat eat… then walk to carrefour… baby fell asleep on his own again..
we all burnt off all the food we ate at sizzler lor.. at least I DID….

so headed to carl’s jr to makan again…..
they recommend me to eat the cheese fries lei..
but i no longer eat beef liao… so never try!

I got this kind of response for 5 times…. and it really really pisses me off..
You call Fast Food delivery because:-

1) You’re lazy to cook
2) You’re lazy to drive
3) You’re simply just LAZY…

and to think they ask you to go down to get it? discounted rate?
and wat.. DID I JUST CALL A HOME DELIVERY SERVICE?? HELLO??!!

anyway, if you notice this company’s advertisement nowadays, they added a clause…. that under circumstances where they are unable to deliver, we have a choice to pick up..
